Yes, my fourth book is finally out! I think I like writing them more than other like reading them, but I’m okay with that.
Serena Johannes is a determined woman. With a father as a drunkard and a mother who is watching after her siblings, Serena takes it upon herself to keep her family off the streets. She had just landed a second job and with her work schedule, she is too busy to be thinking about anything else. It’s not easy being a working woman in 1867.
Everett Peterson is a student at Yale College. The mechanical sciences are what interests him most, but his mother has other plans for him. Mrs. Peterson is invested to find a wife for him when he graduates. Not just any wife though, one who has been brought up properly and fits into their circle flawlessly.
When Everett sees Serena, sparks fly. When she takes a liking to him too it seems as though everything should fall into place. They don’t. Things become messy, but they will try to find a way to make it work because love is worth fighting for.
Guys I have been so busy…school started this week for teachers, so I’m probably just going to be on my blog and yours on the weekends again. I really enjoyed being more active on my blog over the summer and can’t wait to be more active during breaks.
Anyhow, I’m on my finishing touches of the next book in the Vermilion series and Vermilion Whispers is now on Amazon for pre-sale!!! Only .99 for now and on release day I’m going to up it to 3.99.
Blurb: Colin Riley’s past wasn’t a pretty one. He’d worked hard to bury his demons. So when he crossed paths with Alexandra Vaughn, the daughter of the man that almost destroyed his life, he should have run. But he didn’t. Instead, like an idiot, he fell in love. Alex was smart, talented, beautiful, and one of the most infuriating women Colin had ever met. From the second he laid eyes on her, he knew he’d do anything to make her his. Why else would he let her trick him into starring in some play?
It was just supposed to be a way to get close to her. How could he have known saying yes to the role would change their lives forever? But that’s what happens when Richard Steed – the most sought-after agent in Hollywood swoops in promising to make all their dreams come true. It doesn’t take long before the slick agent’s true intentions become known turning him into their worst nightmare.
With a ghost from the past haunting them and an agent hell-bent on tearing them apart, is there any way Colin and Alex can survive The Rise to Fame?
The Rise to Fame is Book One in a two-book series. The second book, The Cost of Fame is due out August 2018.
