Mid-year Freak out tag found this from Beth Reading Every night
Weird to think it’s middle of the year already! In fact, I didn’t even think about it until I saw this tag!!!
Best book you’ve read yet in 2018
No contest Elenore & Park I just loved this book!!! ❤ I need to get my hands on more Rainbow Rowell books!
Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2018
So far it’s been Captive
I really liked this short novella. Very steamy, but I’m a sucker for paranormal.
New release you haven’t read yet but want to
Ok this isn’t really a new release this year, but I really want to read the Illuminae series. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and it sounds like my type of book.
Most anticipated release for the second half of the year
I’m just going to be honest here unless Winds of Winter is coming out ever, I’m just not big enough a bookie yet to know what is coming out soon…I know I’m lame…I’m probably just going to see what everyone else is reading and read that, which is what I usually do…then I know if it’s going to be any good or not lol.
Anna Karenina, I really thought I’d like this book way more than I did, and I’m getting worried I don’t really like books from this time period… and I really want to. I’m not done with classics yet though.
On the flip side of Anna Karenina is Carmilla. Carmilla is a French vampire classic and I was afraid I wouldn’t like it, but I loved it!!!!
Favorite new author
OMG guys, I read so many new authors all the time, but my favorite this year has to be Daisy St. James. I really enjoyed Pheonyx in Flames, but like I said I’m a sucker for paranormal, but this was different than anything I’ve read.
Newest fictional crush
I don’t know. I don’t really have book crushes. I really just like to read how the characters interact.
Newest favorite character
I really loved the characters in Elenore and Park that’s probably why I loved the story so much.
Book that made you cry
You know what Wonder wasn’t as life-changing as I thought it would be (don’t get me wrong it was good) but it did make me cry a few times. It had a lot of heartwarming moments.
Book that made you happy
You Always Have Me starts out kind of heavy with the main character’s dad being abusive, but it had a fluffy middle and ending, it was a fun read.
Favorite book to film adaptation
Wonder is the only book to film I’ve seen/read this year and I might actually like the movie just a little more…
Favorite post you have done this year
Huh, probably my post about putting a story of mine up on Swoon Reads because I’m very proud of that story… so far it’s probably the best I’ve written.
