Was going to do a Book Review, but this seemed more fun today. And I need a little fun in my day since I accidentally rear-ended someone today 😦 oops…
Opening Credits: Favorite Childhood book
A favorite childhood book of mine is Aesop’s Fables. I know, I’m a little strange, but I really liked those Fables as a kid.
Waking up: A book that got you out of a reading slump
I’m going to have to second the blogger I got this from. Interview with the Vampire, was also my book to get me out of a reading slump. After that, I really started reading again. I guess I just didn’t have time in college to read.
School: A book you had to read for school that you ended up loving
In college, I read a short story that I swore was on our syllabus, but I seemed to be the only one to turn a paper in for it. It was Patriotism by Yukio Mishima. I’m sure my dyslexia had something to do with (wrong pg number and date) and instead of laughing at me for getting the assignment completely wrong the professor graded it and handed it back to me! I fell in love with that short story and if you read it, it would suggest even further why it was awkward I turned it in, but oh well got an awesome read out of it!
Falling In Love: An author you love so much you want to read all of their books
Anne Rice, hands down. Although there may be some of her books I skip out on purposely, I have probably read the most books by her. I love her writing and plots.
Fight: Book with the best action sequences
I think Game of Thrones has some pretty good battles. I especially liked the battle with Tyrion where he got his battle scare across his face.
Break up: A book or series you didn’t finish and do not intend to finish
I worry I’m becoming too picky lately because my DNF seems to be growing. So far on my list is: Sharp Objects, Percy Jackson, American Gods, I’m sure there are some others form a while back, but I can’t remember them.
Hanging With Friends: Book you think everyone else should read
Interview with the Vampire, Redeeming Love, Ender’s Game, The Giver. These are books I always recommend.
Breakdown: Book that seriously affected you/had you crying your eyes out
You know what, this one is kind of hard for me. I don’t really read these kinds of books too often. I guess I cried a little when I read My Fiance’s Brother #2
Roadtrip: You favorite series (more than 3 books)
Game of Thrones, Harry Potter
Flashback: Your favorite book from 5 years ago
It might have been more than 5 years ago, but Time Traveler’s Wife.
Getting Back Together: What book can you not stop rereading
So far the book I have probably read the most is Harry Potter
Wedding: A book that is really special to you
I just really love the Giver. If you look back in my archives, you will see why.
Moment of Triumph: Longest book you’ve ever read
Probably A Dance With Dragons, although don’t tell anyone, but I skipped a few chapters…
Death Scene: Book or series you wish had ended differently
I’m sure there is one, but I don’t know off the top of my head. Maybe Time Traveler’s Wife…
Funeral: Book with the best or worst epilogue
I really don’t know. Worst maybe my own book Vermilion Tears…I felt like I could have left it out, but several people convinced me to leave it in.
End Credits: Who do you tag?
Anyone reading this who wants to play along!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
